I was formerly a professional musician for over 25 years, 16 of those serving full time as a member of the Australian Army Band Corps, and currently live on a small acreage north of Brisbane. My interest in photography started at high school as a hobby, but over the years the passion has grown. In the year 2000 I purchased my first SLR camera, and put well over 100 rolls of film through it in the first 12 months. I became so well known to the local developer that he allowed me in with him and showed me how to use the machines to develop and print my own films. I completed a couple of short courses covering the basics of SLR photography with Gordon and Lynn Finn from the Hunter Region School of Photography. The rest of my training has occurred by getting out there amongst it and learning through trial and error, and reading magazines, books and websites. I was hungry to learn more about this wonderful art, so in May 2014 I signed up for a Diploma of Photo Imaging through Commercial Arts Training College (CATC) Brisbane and graduated in 2016. During 2016 I developed an interest in aerial photography/videography and in late 2016 received my Remote Pilot Licence through the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). I continue to work in the Australian Army in a reserve capacity as a photographer and multimedia technician whilst building my photography business. I am also a contract drone pilot for Measure Australia covering north Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. My other interests include motorcycling, 4wding, cycling, camping and watching motorsports. I am married with six children, so life is busy. I hope you get as much enjoyment looking through my galleries as I did in taking the photos and putting it all together.
